bowl

i didnt use this as an assignment because it came out as more of a bole instead of a pot. so instead i used it as extra credit. If this were to have been an assignment, I think that this would have been pretty good because i thought i evenly painted the bowl with glaze.

Rattle

This is my rattle that i carved little holes into and rough lines all around. The rattle worked after it came out from the kiln, but when i put the glaze on it, the glaze must have seeped through the holes and clogged it. So after it came firing it didnt shake anymore. if we ever make a shaker again, ill make sure to not let any glaze come in because i know that it will get ruined.

Pot

This is my first pot on the wheel. I thought I did pretty well for it being my first time. Next time I would like to pull it up higher so that  its not so thick at the bottom. I wish that the glaze came out better becuase it would have made it look a lot better in my opinion. On my next pot im gonna try to get it as even as possible so that it doesn't look darker in some places and lighter in others.

Coil Pot

For the coil pot project, I wanted to make it look like the coils were getting bigger as they went up. i actually thought this project came out pretty good. I wish i could have used better colors, but i kinda like the green, yellow, and black. hopefully next time there will be a wider range of colors for me to pick from. I wouldnt change anything on this. I feel like I did a good job making it.

MUG

Since it was close to halloween I wanted to make a mug that looked like a pumpkin. The actual mug came out pretty good but after I glazed it, somthing went wrong and it kinda look a little moldy. I wish that the glaze came out better because then I could actually use it.

BOX

For my box, I wanted to paint on bright colors becuase on it I drew suns stars and moons. There were only a couple of colors I could chose from which made it harder for me to decide which colors I would use on each side. I liked the way it turned out and I wouldn't want to go back and change anything if I could. maybe i would try to paint a little better but that's all.

Pinch Pot

On my pinch pot, I used a needle nose tool to make little holes and different designs. It's hard to see the squiggly lines because of the glaze on top but the holes are still very defined. I was looking for more of a dark blue color instead of greenish color in the center of the pot, but I like the way it turned out. Next time I'm going to use less glaze so that the designs will be more noticable.
